Called the funniest farce ever written, Noises Off presents a manic menagerie as a cast of itinerant actors rehearsing a flop called Nothing's On. A farce about opening a play that goes terribly, horribly and delightfully awry, Michael Frayn’s Noises Off! accounts for all of the missed lines, lost entrances, actor issues, and happy accidents that, like in real life, accompanies the opening of any play. Noises Off! is a rigorous ensemble piece with nine characters, eight doors, and four plates of sardines, all of which figure in the plot of this hilarious and classically comic play.
